Help Us, Help Emergency Responders
We provide non-profit funding and connect quality mental health providers with emergency responders.
We provide non-profit funding and connect quality mental health providers with emergency responders.
As a nonprofit agency, we gather funding through grants and donations to pay for quality mental health services for emergency responders . This allows the responder to receive private, no cost, quality care. We work to reduce the stigma and overcome the barriers. We allow responders to receive on going care, not just services for critical incidents.
First Responders have higher rates of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and suicide attempts than the general population. Officer suicide rates are higher than deaths in the line of duty. Many responders delay treatment due to fear of retaliation, fear of negative job evaluations, and worry about stigma, labeling, and privacy.
We want to help first responders feel comfortable asking for help without having to worry about funds or privacy. Our program will help connect the responder to a vetted provider. Our providers will have training in trauma and experience, personally or professionally, with first responders. We are able to provide care that isn't "managed" by a third party.
Your contribution will enable us to support our local HEROES and provide them with the Mental Health care they need.
